Tanya Buxton is well known in the PMU community for her high-quality permanent makeup, in-depth training courses, and for founding the non-profit Mastectomy Tattooing Alliance – for all these reasons, we’re proud to have her as a Killer Beauty Sponsored Artist.

Based at her own Paradise Tattoo Studio in Cheltenham Spa where she works alongside other traditional and cosmetic tattoo artists, the clinic couldn’t have a more beautiful setting than on the edge of the gorgeous Cotswolds.

Tanya began her career working as a traditional tattoo artist, until she branched out into medical and cosmetic tattooing procedures in 2015. She now offers a full range of treatments for areas such as powder, ombre and combination brows, eyeliner and lash enhancement, lip liner, colour and soft blush, and of course areolas, as well as continuing to hand draw all her original tattoos.

She also runs a number of courses based from the Paradise Tattoo Studio, including a Magnum Masterclass where you’ll learn to colour pack, blend and shade with magnum needles; a cosmetic tattoo conversion course for traditional tattoo artists; how to use Li-Ft Saline pigment lightening solution; and one on one advanced mentoring courses tailor made for what you want to learn or improve upon.

Tanya is talented at many things but has found her passion in medical tattooing and microneedling. She’s recreated fingernails, toenails and belly buttons for clients who have lost them, adeptly covered cleft lip scars, and created bespoke tattoo designs for areas of the body with scarring.

As founder of the non-profit Mastectomy Tattooing Alliance, she has dedicated her time, effort and expertise to supporting breast cancer survivors by offering free areola tattooing, as well as raising funds so that every survivor of breast cancer can access these treatments.

Often the last stage in the breast cancer journey, areola tattoos are hugely significant and meaningful to survivors as they begin a new chapter of their lives, but many don’t have access or can’t afford this highly specialised treatment. Tanya’s hard work and dedication to providing this service is truly admirable!

As part of the MTA, Tanya runs a campaign called Celebrated Not Censored which aims to remove the censorship of areola tattoos for breast cancer survivors. They hope to create an environment where survivors of breast cancer and PMU artists can proudly display the amazing work that goes into areola tattoos – even if they happen to be on female bodies. Sign the Change.org petition to help the campaign!

Tanya regularly appears on traditional and medical tattoo podcasts, when she’s not busy working her magic at Paradise Studio, or taking on social media giants with her Celebrated Not Censored campaign as part of the Mastectomy Tattooing Alliance.
