Always ready to meet the demands of the PMU market, the Perma Blend Luxe range contains the same high quality pigments seen in all Perma Blend collections, but in a luxurious, EU REACH-compliant form.

Who are Perma Blend?

Perma Blend are a PMU pigment manufacturer who have been in operation since 2014, bringing together experienced chemists and cosmeticians to create incredibly high-performance pigments.

All their products are sterile, made in the USA, vegan-friendly, cruelty-free, and have passed ISO 13485 standards around medical device quality and safety. In fact, they’re the only US company to have reached this standard!

Years of research and testing has resulted a range of pigments that achieve maximum colour concentration, stability, and have high rates of retention.  They’re also shown to have the highest rating available in lightfastness, which is how resistant a pigment is to fading in sunlight.

What is REACH?

Coming into force from the 4th January 2022, the EU REACH regulation aims to protect human health and the environment from chemical risks. It covers all chemical substances - from paints to furniture and of course PMU pigments – throughout the entire of the EU.  The REACH regulations are not currently applicable in the UK.

It was a slight scramble for some EU artists who suddenly found themselves unable to buy their favourite pigments, but Perma Blend have created their own solution with the Luxe range – an entirely REACH compliant - collection of pigments and modifiers for all areas of PMU.

How Is Luxe different?

In order to adhere to the REACH standards, the Luxe range from Perma Blend has been formulated entirely from scratch, which means it won’t feature the exact same famous shades as the standard Perma Blend range. However, the company plan on expanding their offering to all of their classic pigments, starting with the most sought-after in the EU.

All pigments are colour calibrated for accuracy between bottles, and are batch tested for micro concerns as well as extensive testing to ensure their products don’t contain heavy metals, amines or PAHS.

Perma Blend have helpfully put together a guide on matching the new REACH-compliant pigments to the old-style Perma Blend collection for those making the switch now.

If I’m not in the EU, why should I use Perma Blend Luxe?

As well as being one of the first ranges that can be used absolutely anywhere in the world, the Luxe collection lives up to the high standards of Perma Blend products, so if you’re already using Perma Blend products the switch is an easy one!

But don’t worry if you’re not ready to make the switch just yet, as even the non-REACH compliant pigments are vigorously tested and go far beyond the standards set in the US, Canada and UK. The incredibly high quality of the pigment line has artists in even non-REACH companies adding them to their kit.

How Is Luxe Different?

Perma Blend’s Luxe shade range is huge, and it has everything you need to create incredible PMU results. With dozens of colours covering lip, brow and eyeliner needs - as well as modifiers – the Luxe collection of pigments will satisfy even the most demanding artist!

Perma Blend Luxe pigments heal vibrantly and stay perfect-looking for longer, making them an excellent choice, even if you don’t have to adhere to the REACH regulations.
